Garden, Before and After 22-Aug-2011

Today’s Harvest:

  • Asparagus
  • Farm eggs
Before: (butter crust; 6 eggs, 2/3 C cream, 1 C whole milk, 1# fresh asparagus, 8 oz Manchego cheese, 1/2 tsp marjoram, salt, pepper)
After: (Asparagus quiche: this was an exercise using whatever I had in the kitchen.  Orange-yolk farm eggs and a little extra fat in the liquid make a beautiful, light and enriched product.)
