No more than did the New York Times review Portland’s Little Bird than Portland Monthly lined up with a sweet little post-script.
Apparently, Little Bird pastry chef Lauren Fortgang has created what are being called Fancy Pants chocolate bars… thin rectangles of dark chocolate delivered in translucent envelopes, in three different flavor combinations. Plaudier Pants are fleur de sel and toffee; Jazz Pants have coffee and chicory; and Mac Daddy Pants show off macadamia nuts, orange rind and toffee.
No doubt Fancy Pants will soon be available in other Portland gourmet outlets. Clever (and sweet) way of creating Little Bird consciousness outside the restaurant.
