Pretty cool news. Effective 10-Sep, Chef Sean Daly, formerly of Hugo’s in Oakley, is assuming roles as operating partner, executive general manager and executive chef at The National Exemplar in the Mariemont Inn.
I enjoyed Hugo’s Southern fare, and thought their food was a stylish departure from other regionally-oriented restaurant menus. So, while it sounds as if Chef Sean will ease into improving The Exemplar’s menu, it bodes well for the restaurant’s future. Chef plans to increase the restaurant’s focus on local produce and meats while maintaining the the most popular menu items. “The National Exemplar offers an incredible opportunity to develop a destination restaurant with its unique setting and opportunity to evolve its menu,” Daly said. “I am committed to delivering high quality and a passion for food and hospitality that Cincinnati people love and expect.”
With The Quarter a solid fave, and now a bump up for The Exemplar, who knew Mariemont could be a food destination?
