Thanksgiving Eve, and not a creature was stirring. Wait, wrong holiday. Creatures were stirring the pot for tomorrow’s feast; however, the memory of a recent Asian meal lingers long…
Asian Paradise is an apt descriptor, and I can’t wait to have my next meal there. My buddy, Karen, who is always ahead of me on meal recos (no ego here; only gratitude that she’s ahead of the curve), and I grabbed a quick AP dinner recently and the food was memorable.
The menu is Japanese/Asian Fusion, and the menu is impressive. Soups, salads, sushi starters, Asian wok and grill, Paradise southeast entrees, steamed items, noodles and rice, sushi and sashimi, sushi rolls and hand rolls, and amazing Paradise signature rolls.
We both had grilled lemongrass shrimp, and it was as woodsy and tender and succulent and flavorful as it was beautiful. I love Asian dishes that use grilled greens with the vegetables.
Elegant décor, a sushi bar, creative cocktails. In addition to all the whites and reds and bottles and drafts you’d expect, there was hot and cold sake. It totally belies the strip center stereotype.
Just needed a fresh food breather before turkey immersion. It’s only a matter of hours now. It’s OK to have a feast and visit paradise in the same week. Asian Paradise is a choice I’d make any day of the week.
